Rick Dobbis

After a long and successful global executive career in companies large and small I trained at iPEC and am an ICF/PCC certified coach. I have worked as a leadership and career coach for nearly ten years and have coached over 300 individuals.


I have worked with career launchers, career changers and high potential and C-Suite executives at numerous companies. My experience ranges across a variety of industries including IP creation and exploitation and financial management, education, gaming, and in tech fields including Software Engineering, Data Science, and UI/UX design. 


I have coached senior executives at Madison Square Garden Company, American Tower, the Navy Seal Museum, Epic Games, Scopely, Activision and Head Start. I have coached hundreds of career launchers and people in career and personal transition.


I am knowledgeable regarding the career search process and all the necessary materials and strategies that can help candidates achieve their goals. And, my business and coaching background and skills are very useful in motivating job seekers to fully explore the necessary effort that is required.


My executive experience includes C-Suite roles, responsibility for large numbers of co-workers, and operations including, finance, marketing, HR, sales, promotion, and all areas of operation in companies located across the globe. In addition, my areas of expertise include budgeting, performance evaluation and many other disciplines that have been part of my executive and coaching assignments. 


As a leader in large organizations and through my time teaching at New York University I learned to full appreciate and embrace the coaching philosophy that you meet each person where they are and work together from there. I bring knowledge, intuitive listening, great story telling, and a robust sense of humor to my coaching so that the sessions and the work are meaningful and enjoyable for me and my clients.
