PERSONAL PROFILE / COACHING BIO I am a dedicated and passionate commercial product leader and coach driven by empowerment, impact, and continual learning. I founded Tech Diversity to cultivate representation and inclusion through coaching and advocacy and I founded Ideara to help organisations realise the value of technology. I have 30 years of experience working in tech and, for the past decade, have led individuals and large teams, amassing 500+ coaching hours. As a relentless advocate for women in tech, I am honoured to be a Twenty Women in Data® awardee. My qualifications include ILM L7 in Coaching and Mentoring, accreditation at Senior Coach Practitioner level with the EMCC, along with an honour’s degree in Computer Science. BACKGROUND In the early 2000s, I took an extended career break to prioritise my family. During this time, I managed multiple businesses and volunteered in the community. Once my children were older, I set about rekindling my career, where I confronted unconscious bias head-on. Subsequently, I discovered the value of coaching and the belief I needed to break down barriers and progress at pace. My career accelerated from there, leading to multiple award-winning tech teams. COACHING APPROACH I am an authentic coach whose strength is creating safe spaces that encourage people to share deeply and openly. To unlock insight, action, and sustainable transformation, I use a variety of tools and models (e.g., Natural Linguistic Processing, Transactional Analysis, and Cognitive Behavioural Coaching) coupled with deep active listening, powerful questions, and gentle but firm challenges. I hold a strong belief that everyone possesses the potential to achieve their goals. They are resourceful, creative, and whole, and I am here to help them realise and unlock their potential.
