She is passionate about developing talent at all levels of an organization and translating business strategies into impactful people strategies.
As a former senior HR leader, Michelle has been immersed in leadership development from coaching, counseling and training leaders, executives and new managers, to building, leading and developing her own teams. She is known as a results-driven, strategic thinker, empathetic listener, creative problem solver and skilled collaborator.
As a coach, Michelle uses a systems-based approach to help individuals understand their mindset, clarify their purpose, and develop their approach in order to maximize impact and potential. She works with individuals and corporate clients on a one-to-one basis or in group coaching settings. Current corporate clients include: Boon Health, GrowthSpace and Chief.
As a group facilitator, Michelle brings experience designing and delivering topics including leadership development, management capabilities, remote management, new leader assimilation, anti-harassment, labor concerns, strategic workforce/annual planning, and general team-building. She is highly skilled at bringing teams together, bridging perspectives and ensuring quieter voices are heard.
As an HR consultant, Michelle brings over 20 years of HR leadership experience from organizations such as Atlassian, BuzzFeed, British Airways, Associated Press and Viacom/MTV Networks and also served as Chief Administration and Strategy Officer with Freedman Consulting, LLC, a small public interest consulting firm. She works with clients on key initiatives such as strategic workforce planning, organizational transformation and change management, organizational design and effectiveness, employee and labor relations, talent management and development, employee communications, policy, compliance and procedure.
Michelle is an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) through the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and a Certified Professional Coach (CPC) and Energy Leadership Master Practitioner from the Institute of Professional Excellence in Coaching (iPEC). She received her J.D. from University of California, San Francisco Law School, MSW from Aurora University, and a B.A. in Communications Studies from University of California, Los Angeles.
